Della Lou Mozzini

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Della Lou Mozzini, our dear mom, grandma, and friend who filled every day with love and laughter. She slipped away peacefully, surrounded by family, on October 30, 2025, at the age of 82 in Fallon, Nevada.

Della was the heart of our home—the devoted wife of 54 years to Jim Mozzini and the proud, loving mother of six wonderful kids. Born on July 25, 1943, in King City, California, to Ethel and Nelson Palmer, she grew up with a warmth that drew people in and never let go. After graduating from Coalinga High School, Della poured her life into her family, greeting each morning with hot breakfasts, open arms, and endless support.

Her spirit was pure adventure. Whether she was shaping ceramics, stitching quilts, tending her garden, canning summer’s bounty, leading 4-H kids, tearing up trails on four-wheelers, camping under the stars, casting a line while fishing, hitting the open road in the RV, kicking up her heels square dancing, or gathering everyone for a lively game night, Della lived with joy and curiosity. She was always ready for the next horizon, hand in hand with Jim.

Della was welcomed into eternity by her parents and her precious daughter, Carrie Teeters. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her children—Curtis Teeters, Janeel Welburn, Michael Mozzini, Jesse Mozzini, and Nelson Mozzini—along with ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren who will carry her stories and hugs in their hearts forever.

Please join us in celebrating Della’s beautiful life on December 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at The Gardens Funeral Home in Fallon, Nevada. In lieu of flowers, honor her generous spirit with a gift to your favorite charity.
