In Loving Memory Dennis J Kathrein Jan 31 1939 - Jan 17 2026Born Bowman, ND one of five children to Anton Kathrein and Margaret Stoltz. Graduated from Dickinson, ND in 1959 after which he joined the US Navy where he served as a boiler tender class 2. He met his bride to be in Sommerville, MA and married Barbara L Berte on Oct 13 1962. They gave birth to a daughter in 1963 Lavone Louise Kathrein. After serving his four years in the Navy they moved to Dickinson, ND and he worked for Barret Mobile Home Transport as a truck driver. They soon moved to Glasgow, MT where another Daughter Rita Ann Kathrein was born Sept 8 1966. The family moved to Boise, ID for a short time then finally making their home in Fallon, NV. Dennis continued driving truck for All Season Homes then later his own business G & M Mobile Home Service retiring after ten years. Dennis was active in the community and the church belonging to the Knights of Columbus where he held the position of Grand Knight, color guard and fourth degree. He loved his tractors, film and camcorders, fishing, splitting firewood and working in his garage where he could fix anything. Preceded in Death by Wife Barbara Kathrein (Berte), his parents Anton and Margaret Kathrein Brother Anthony Kathrein Daughter Lavone Molina (Kathrein)Survived by his Brother Paul Kathrein Great Falls, MT Sisters Karen Thor Galesburg, Ill Sheryl Cermak Bismarck, ND Daughter Rita Butori (Kathrein)and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. There will be a rosary and viewing on Thursday Jan 29 at St Patrick's Church at 6pm. Funeral Services will be held Friday Jan 30 at St. Patrick's Church 11am with the burial being held at the Gardens following the mass. Reception will be held at St Patrick's Miola Hall. The family has requested no flowers, please. Donations can be made to the Knights of Columbus.
