Margaret Shaffer

Margaret Ann Shaffer, age 70 of Golconda, Nevada passed away on April 01, 2026 at the

Banner Churchill County Hospital.

Margaret was born on October 08, 1955, in Hudson, Michigan to Russell J.R. Smith and

Evelyn (Bailey) Smith. She grew up in Waldron, Michigan. On August 04, 1984 She married

Robin Shaffer at Shaffer Park in Osseo, Michigan. She spent her life devoted to family and

friends.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter Daniel L (Mary) Bignell of Ohio, Benjamin A

(Skye) Bignell of Nevada and Sherry A (Jeremy) Allen of Nevada, eleven grandchildren,

fourteen great grandchildren, one brother Michael R (Peb) Smith of Ohio, two brother inlaws Lyle Shaffer of Indiana, Scott (Corena) Shaffer of Ohio, and five sister in-laws Eileen

Shaffer of Michigan, Rebecca (Alan) Stiverson of Michigan, Teresa Fuller of Ohio, Linda

(Carl) Grubbs of Michigan and Becky Smith of Michigan, several cousins, nieces and

nephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents, husband Robin Shaffer, two brothers

Kenneth and Randy Smith.

Margaret will be remembered for her kindness and daily text/phone calls to family and

friends.

Cremation has taken place, a memorial service will be held 1:00pm on May 09, 2026 at

Vesco Park in Winnemucca, Nevada. A memorial and final resting place will be in Waldron,

Michigan at a later date.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
